Tire Question

I have an opportunity to pick up a few new Firestone Champion Guide Grip 3 Rib Tires 6.5 X 16. Would these be suitable for a SM? Thank you..

I just replaced one front tire on my SM. I got a 6.00. I wish I had got the 6.5. I have the clearance and the 6.00 look a little small. I'm sure others will chime in but I think it should work.

6.50 is what they came with.My SM wears them-always has.Most Ms that I see have that size

Not to argue Delta Red ,but I thought 6.00x16 wa s the standard???? I thought the "loader boys" were installing the 6.50 for a little more width????

The 6.50's will work fine. The M, Super M, 400,450 and 560 came from factory with 6.00-16 as standard equipment.

I thought about that just after I punched the "submit"key.Thanks for straightening me out.But does it really matter?I have even seen a few "beaters" and loaders with 7.50x16s(truck tires),that worked fine-they held the tractor!I think you could get away with anything from 5.50 to 7.50

On smta & 400 single fronts I ran 7.50's In the day of front mount cultivators .Still like the beafy look of 7.50's. My 560 wide front 7.50 also . Tony

6:00 x 16 was standard front, 6:50 x 16 was an option.
