Removing PTO on an A

I'm going to remove the PTO and belt pulley on my A this weekend so I can change gaskets and oil seals. Anything special I should know about removing it or putting it back? I'm also going to change the other transmission seals sometime in the next couple of weeks - does the PTO have to be out to remove anything else? I can't believe such a small tractor can have so many oil seals.

Yes putting it back together will be a chore to get the tube that enguages when you put it in gear. Mite want to take the top of the tranny off to help. The shift lever has a short stub that goes in the grouved sleeve that engiages when you put it in gear. Be careful not to lose the spring loaded plunger that helps control the shift lever. I would take out the slotted screw thats located near where the shift lever goes thru the tranny that way the spring loaded plunger wont fly out when you remove the assy. Ive done it many times so its easy for me
