I have what I believe is a 1945 I6, on the Nameplate it has the I6 and the Anchor with the serial No. IBK 13629. On the hood under some yellow paint is US NAVY 48-02198. Does anyone know of a way to trace the Navy history by these numbers or any other info on this tractor. By the way it does have gray paint under the yellow. Thank you

I have this picture that is labeled "Farmall I6 Navy"

I noticed your exhaust comes out the top like the w6, my exhaust comes out the side. maybe when I get it put back together I will post a pic. Probably be a while the parts I ordered aren't in yet. Not restoring at least yet. Just trying to get together for a spring pull tryout.

Seems like the orchard model also used a side exiting exhaust.

Vertical exhaust was standard on W-6 while down (orchard type) exhaust was an option. Since yours was a Navy tractor, does it also have hydraulic brakes, which were an option?

That exhaust system appears to be something other than standard issue. Rather ingenious actually, but looks like the exhaust needs to be removed before the hood can come off.
