Newbee mistake posted in Talk forum originally but will repost here.
I have a 1946 Farmall B I have been resurecting. The tractor does have head & rear lamps. The tractor will only start & run when the light-charge switch is in the B or D position. If running & switched to H or L position it will stop. I believe it should run in all 4 positions (H,L,D,B) but it will not. Any help & guidance is much appreciated.
See original post in talk forum, sorry.

The ignition switch supply wire is connected to the light switch. It should not be.
It connects to the load side of the amp meter.
(side not connected to the starter switch) easy fix. Jim
