Update on 39 H

Thanks for everyones info.Im debating wether to find another block or take Jims advice and sleeve mine,Is it worth to keep my motor becaues of being a 39,This is the only reason Im messing with this

I would repair the '39 block LONG before I put a replacement block in there.

A repaired block with matching chassis numbers is way more valuable in an early tractor than more recent ones. The repair is less expensive than the use of a different block. and just as reliable. Jim

Ive got a late 39 H and have been going through the same delema. My block is good but needs a full rebuild Right now I have anther H motor in it and maybe one day I will rebuild the original. I have been asking myself how much difference in price there might be if one day I sold it. If it would be an early one like my M there would be no question but this one is almost a 40.
