farmall H Behlen power steering

I have a Behlen power steering unit on an H farmall. It is leaking past the upper shaft seal.

I have never worked on these or know how they were installed. Does anyboy know how to efficiently replace that seal. I assume the steering shaft is cut in two just below the unit as there is a shaft coupling sleeve there.
Thanks

It is possible to get the seals out without complete disassembly, but,it may require some ingenuity. First is a dust seal that is easy to get out. Then there is a snap ring. The next piece is a spacer with a needle bearing in it , o-ring on the inside that seals on shaft and o-ring on outside that seal on housing. Problem is to get a hold of that spacer. If it has a shallow hole drilled and tapped you can pull it out with a bolt or slide hammer. If it does not have any holes, well, that is the iffy part. I have had several apart but normally for other reason so take them all the way apart. That can be a problem also as the spool inside is a very close fit to housing and spool stays with the shaft so careful does it. The CaseIH online parts manual shows a breakdown of the unit as used on a 400 tractor for instance.
