One More M Hydraulic Pro Question

Does anyone have tech data on the GPM and pressure on a M belly pump? I have access to a pressure gauge so I could use that, but I was wondering if there are any specs. Thanks.

Earliest were at about 500psi and subsequent changes went to 750 and ~800PSI. I think they were rated at 6gpm, but I do not know that for sure.
What year it is will help, but many have been modified to put out the 800psi. Jim

Thanks Jim, my M is a 51....I believe. Will have to check the serial number. Well, that does not sound like enough to run my log splitter, I have been running the splitter off my 300 live hydraulics, but I need that tractor elsewhere. Thanks, I guess I best put a gauge on it.

you should be ok, those tractors picked the 10' cultivator and 3 btm plows out of the ground so it should split a log. those old j.d. cyl's were only rated for low pressure though. if hooked to a newer tractor you would blow them apart litterly. you could increase the cyl.bore size if you needed more pushing power.

Yes, the M is a 51. I think I will just hook up the splitter and see what happens. I am really curious how the D/A splitter will interact with the M&W valve. Thanks
