H front tire size?

My father has an H that he's run with old car tires forever. Somewhat recently one of them disintegrated so we got him an official 4ply, 3rib tire. He hates it. Every time he goes into the field he comes back with briar thorns in the shallows of the ribs, punching through the tire and through the tube.

Well now the other tire has disintegrated. So we don't want to get another tractor tire. What modern sized car tire will fit well on an H? Something like a 195x80x16? Do you guys have any size ranges? I found a 155x90x16 that we had, but it"s a little thin and the contact patch is round. I'd like to get a matching set anyway.

Thanks

The 195/75R-16 should be just fine and maybe even a 205 but not 100% sure. Any good tire dealer should be able to tell you what size would be about right if you tell them the size like say 5.50X16 or 6.00X16

I have 6.00x16 on mine, look good with 12.4 or bigger back tires. I would use the 5.50x16 with smaller rears.
