I have a three point on my M with a M&W valve off the belly pump. If I install a trip bucket front loader would the belly pump run it also? No need to run the 3 pt and the front loader at the same time. Appears to me it would handle it. I suppose live hydraulics is the answer, but I am not sure what all that would entail and if the belly tank is large enough to handle it. Thanks, would appreciate recommendations.

Trip bucket loaders worked just fine on an M with the belly pump hydraulics. You could probably add a second valve on the setup you have or add a diverter valve for the loader.

Easiest solution would be too replace the M&W valve with a newer, 2 spool valve. 1 spool to run the loader, the other spool to run the 3 point.

Thanks, I actually did think about a diverter valve because I was unsure where an additional valve would mount and look decent. This old beast is in great shape and I want to use it. Thanks again

I put a 3 spool valve on my M. I mounted it to the light bar and made a bracket to stiffen it up, in a good position and does'nt look bad.

I would go the diverter valve route. That way you just shut one off and turn the other on.That is the way I do on mine between the 3 point and the remote hydraulic couplers.Probably wouldnt be using them at the same time anyway????

Rusty, I believe you have a three point. Could I
please be so bold to ask you for a pic of the rear
of the tractor where the loader and three point
connect to the axle. I guess the axle connection
will depend on the type of loader I buy, but it
appears I may have to get a little creative. Thanks,
and if you can't I certainly understand.

Sorry guys, I didn't post the picture the first time, but went back and added it by using the "edit" feature.

There is no 3 point. That will come later IF I can find a DEAL on a used unit.

The M belonged to a local county roads department, and was all yellow when I bought it, but it had been just another RED M before the county bought it. The yellow paint is my attempt to preserve a part of the tractors history.
