power stering 560 wide front gas

I was going to feed hay backed tractor out of shed and something happened to my power steering. It is leaking in front of the tractor around the front of the power steering pump. Anyone got an idea of where to start. Power steeing still works but oil runs out of it after you shut it down.

There are no lines leaking. I need a diagram ofthe power steering unit so I can show you. Can you help me out. Thanks for your reply

Append a photo, or go to caseih.com search for parts. put in 560, scroll to gas tractor, chassis. Jim

The pump is in the clutch center housing. The steering rack & valve is under the radiator in the front bolster housing, if this is where its leaking there are orings & seals needing replacement. There are no pumps in the front.

If it's up front, it is the power steering torque generator, or motor.

You probably blew a seal, but there is no way to know 100% for sure until you take it apart and look.

99% of tractor fixing is, "take it apart, see what's wrong, fix it." Very little can be accurately diagnosed or repaired by standing there looking at it scratching your head.

I got it apart and it is the worm gear assebly,Blew the seal on the end and something is bent so does not function right, Do yoy know where I can get one soon and a hydraulic pump.

I got it figured out and it the worm gear assebly that blew the seal on the end and took it apart and it doesn;t work right so i need to find another one and a hydraulic pump one with more gpm. I spent most of the afternoon on the phone trying to locate one with no luck, Any numbers out trhere for me tryn to locate what I beed. Thanks

Ok it is the torque generator or motor that I need The seal is blow out the end and can't move the plunger inside. LET me where I can get one. Thanks

We don't know where you live so you're going to have to go to the phone book and look up your local CaseIH dealer yourself.

Not quite sure why yo need another pump with more capacity. There were 2 sizes of pumps, a 12 and 17 gpm (At least with the Cessna pumps), but they are in the belly of the tractor and you won't see a leak in them as any leak just runs right back into the belly reservoir. What you need are parts for the front end of the tractor and that's not a pump.

Ihave everything taken care of, I got a 17 gpm pump and I got the t0rque generator out of Persia Iowa by Council Bluffa, We will see what happens when I get everythng back together and let you know, Thanks to all who helped me out.

Was wondering if anybody can furnish the gas and the Orings that go inbetween the piggy back power steering and the hydraulic pump on a 560? Thanks a bunch.

(quoted from post at 14:24:41 03/22/12) i WENT TO TWO DEALERS AND THEY SAID i HAD TO BUY A KIT FOR 176.00, i DON'T NEED ALL THE EXTRA PARTS. Thanks

Gotta pay to play...

That said, if you think you can buy them individually then go to messicks (dot) com and look her up on microfiche. I see now that messicks has changed the system to show prices next to the parts.
