Cub tie rod adjustment

Replaced on Spindle on the Cub and need to adjust toe in now but I can't figure out how to adjust it? I loosened the clamp bolt on the rod but the threaded end barely moves in the rod. Is the adjustment supposed to be in the ball socket end that attaches to the steering arm? Should be simple.....

The clamp is only for extending the rod out to match the extension of the axle. Tighten the clamp back up in the same notch that the axle is set to.

To adjust the tie rod, the socket at the end where it attaches to the spindle arm is threaded with a jam nut. Loosen the jam nut, and turn the socket in to the desired toe in. Adjust the socket to where you have the front of the tire 1/4" closer than the rear of the tire. The screw at the end of the socket should be tight enough to limit the play to a minimum with a cotter pin installed to keep it in place. There is no adjustment at the ball socket end except for shims to reduce play.
