My brother restored this for a 4-H project this past winter we have been told its a rare find. Any body know the numbers on how many they made? Thanks

Wow! Nice job.
Doubt there are many of those around. Wardner has one, so maybe he can help with production numbers.

Can't help with the total production numbers. FWIWm, my W400LP is serial number 1738, or close to it, but the LPs didn't have their own number sequence.]

My tractor was bought from Mark Mathis in Cairo, MO.

Thanks Everybody, Mines a 1956 serial number 3649 its a later tractor from the larger fenders as you can see. But nice looking tractors we actually have another lpg wheatland 400.

Actually we are it is also a 1956 with the wide fenders, The problem we have faced is since there has been non at auction of for sale what it might be worth. The engine is stuck on it and the tires are bad. But we would be interested in selling it.

I used to own a W350,W400,W450 all gas and done some research on build #s. What I came up with was the following
W350 1957 only 818 gas and 146 diesel
809 W350 tractors went to Canada
W400 1955 960 gas and 364 diesel
W400 1956 1110 gas and 834 diesel
W450 1957 388 gas and 703 diesel
W450 1958 285 gas and 405 diesel and 28 LP
No mention of how many LP W400 tractors made but scarce as you can see on the W450

Did you happen to put the "W" and the "400" on backwards on the right hand side? I have not seen them in that orientation before. Maybe that is the ony way it fits. The first 6 months of production did not use the "W." Mine is a diesel S/N 818.

Yes i think you are right on the emblem my little brother did that and didn't recognize that because the hood came off a Farmall 450lp and he had to drill new holes. I'm glad you pointed that out to us. Thanks
