My ID9 is getting deisel fuel in the engine oil. Is my pump bad or is there some seals I can change without rebuilding the pump? I"m not very familiar with the deisel engines. Any help would be great.

The rack is probably leaking into the housing, and the housing is leaking into the engien. The unit is supposed to be lubed with engine oil, but separate from the oil in the engine.
There should be replacement parts available. Others will chime in I am Sure. Jim

well havent you checked the injection pump oil? about 90 percent leak diesel into the oil compartment. this must be kept drained down to the full level, and when totally contaminated with diesel drain and add new engine oil. this is due to the transfer pump having leaking seals on end of injection pump. this is the poor mans cure that works , but the real cure is to find seals and have the transfer pump seals replaced but parts are getting scarce for these pumps.

The seals on both ends of your pump are shot. The one between the transfer pump and the injector pump is leaking fuel into the injector pump crankcase, and the one between the injector pump and the motor itself is letting the fuel go into your engine oil.

I did mine and it was only $100. Well worth it IMO. I am sure it would cost you $200 today, but it is still better than running with diluted injection pump oil.

So I did my transfer pump because everybody said this is what it HAS to be. I had my doubts because the injection pump wasn't filling with fuel (but it was only $100 so what the heck). Nope. It ended up being I had two injectors that were total junk and two that sucked. So they would let fuel flow right past the rings and into the crankcase. So if you pump is full do lift pump seals.

The local dealer here in Indiana doesn't have any info or books at all so they said they can't get any parts

I would say tell them to look at a microfiche but they are worthless and you need to find a new dealer. I have one of those by me (Johnson Tractor in Janesville. They SUCK at old tractors mainly because they do not care. They don't even try to help you.) Call Carter & Gruenwald or Messicks. They are two good IH dealers that ship parts. I prefer you use C&G because the _____s at Johnson Tractor are trying to run them out of town. They need all the help they can get.
