Thanks for the help on my 460

Thanks to all who gave me advice on my 460. I got it running today after it set for the last 20 years locked up. If she runs good I think I'll paint it. I need to go through the rest of it but for now it's a pretty good feeling.

so your saying you only gave it the sleeves and pistons? was wondering what was sticking in there ? you say carbon falling out of valves.thats not too good to have carbon getting into the cyl"s. that will score them up just like metal will. thats the last thing a person thinks of when someone says they overhauled the engine.

I use the term overhaul loosely, new main & rod bearings, sleeves and pistons. I left the head alone, got in a hurry. Probably bite me in the behind but after all it's a 460, not like it's woth a lot.
