Front bolster

Hey guys its me again drove tractor today it has what you guys call death wobble i think i;ve had top cover off bolster the worm gear and shaft look good when i raised front end off the ground you could really see a lot of movement in the bearing that right above wheels there is a little play in the bushing thats at top of bolster but not as much as the bottom what is the procedure to fix this problem my manual i got from dealer is no help at all i called dealer today not sure what i need to buy never worked on bolster before don;t no where to start Thanks for any help

Go to case-ih and look at the parts breakdown

I had the same issue with my H. There is probably wear on all the parts in there. It only takes a little wear on each part to add up to a lot of wobble.

I would start with replacing the upper and lower bolster bushings. They are available from Carter Gruenwald as a kit along with seals.

I will clarify that there is an upper and lower bushing on the upper bolster. The lower bolster is what the wheels attach to.

Make sure the wheel bearings are tight while you are at it.
