I found an IH fast hitch 2 bottom plow for sale...Its complete and original...the paint is all faded and flakey...No rust shown anywhere...is it worth $300???

depends.

I bought two 3 bottom plows 7 years ago and gave $10 each. Sold one to my brother for $20 so mine was free.

The local Case/IH dealer claimed he just sold a 3 bottom in December for $500 (I was talking to him about a 2 point blade and how 2 point equipment wasn't worth much).

$100/bottom is a good rule of thumb these days but fast hitch may bring the price down as not everyone can use them. condition of the plow makes a difference too

For a 2 bottom plow of any kind its about 100 a bottom, fast hitch will bring more.I dont know where some people get there prices but Ive never found any thing cheap.I sent a 2 bottom JD 3 point to a sell several years ago and when my check showed up it was 375.00.If you need the plow buy it,it cost money to run around and look for one.Make sure its not bent.

What kind of shape is the moldboards points shins coulters in? Ask what it would cost to replace the above if needed? Bud.

we gave $250 for one last year its a C-20 that has the small points. We felt we got a far deal most that are for sale in MN they seem to be asking $350 from what Ive seen

Really good shape 350.00 around here. The plow will be small point for a SC,200 etc.

I bought a very nice 2 bottom plow with shiny good paint nice points almost new boards and nice landslides and a good heal for 200.00 listed on craigslist. I thought I did ok.

Yes. Hard to find them cheap. They always seem to bring $250 - $450 for 2 bottom, and more $ for 3 bottom. I have a 311 Fast Hitch plow myself. I paid $250, 15 years ago. And it still needed a few things.

Best of luck.

I think it is.

I pd $400 for a C20 2-14" fast hitch with plow chief bottoms in very good shape for my Super C. Bought it in TX from a dealer who brought it in from South Carolina. Pd $350 for a F20 large point fast hitch plow with like new bottoms for my 300. Bought that one in eastern IA on a trip to see family. I hadn't really been looking for this one but saw it on the side of the road.

Fast hitch implements are about non existent around Houston TX. I chased down 3 C251 fast hitch planters from Pennsylvania and Kentucky. It took 3 parts machines to get one complete one.

If you want it and can justify it, buy it while you can.

I got this one in a package with a 400 i bought. A friend has parts waiting for me as well as a 3 bottom fast hitch. I need to get up to Delta soon. Also bought a 1 bottom 2 way plow fast hitch. Need to pick it up in NM also

IMHO I wouldn't pay more than $100 a bottom for it, and then only if the wear parts were still usable.

It would be tough in my area, and I bet in most others, to find a C-20 fast hitch plow in good shape, for $200. They are worth more than that if they`re in good shape IMHO. $250 and up if in good shape is going rate in these parts.

2pt. hitch 2 bottom plows can bring from next to nothing to well over $500 depending on the plow model, wear parts, how it's equipped, and where you're located.

A local dealer had a 2-16 2pt. 211 that was nearly new sell for $650 last year. Owner had used it on about 40 acres the first year he had it and did a few gardens over the next 20 or so years until it was put away in a garage. It had trip beams, great wear parts (Plow Chief), coulters, and nice original paint and decals. I thought it was worth the money, but I had no use for it. It was on the lot less than a week.

Remember, it doesn't take long to put about $150+/bottom of aftermarket Super Chief wear parts on a plow. Some other bottom styles have little or no parts support from anyone. Plows with good wear parts are always worth more money. If you're going to use it, and have any threat of obstructions (roots, rocks, etc), you better have a plow with some kind of break-away protection or trip beams.
