IH 2400 Loader Whats it worth?

Tomorrow I"m going to look at an IH 2400 with a diesel engine and a loader. It has 3 pt hitch and rear wheel weights but that"s about all I know. I do know the tires are flat and Ill assume I need to replace them, and there is no hood. It ran 3 years ago but the guy hasnt tried starting it since then. Ive tried to attach the photo I have of it. My question is what is it worth as is? and what is it worth if I fix everything?

Hi Matt, no idea of price but it basically same as an agriculture 454 model with a D-179 German Diesel engine. If it has not been run for 3 years, I would drain Diesel fuel, change fuel filters and replace with fresh Diesel fuel. Also check crankcase and transmission oil for water.

Thanks Jim. Just trying to get an idea of what I can pay for it without loosing my shirt in the process. I know its a gamble either way but the guys asking 1000 and I figure the loader and wheel weights would cover that cost. Anyway Im going to go look at it today, we will know more when I see it.

Figure $250/ton as it sits. Non-running tractors are only worth their weight as scrap metal until they are proven to run.

Price out tires before you plunk down any money. They are not cheap. Figure $1500-$2000 for new tires.
