Replacing clutch on ih 254

Can some one tell me how hard of a job it is changing a clutch on a 254 compact. It does have 4 wd & a loader. IH wants a grand for the parts & brake shoes.200 a piece for the shoes.How about some better places to get parts?

After market you will have maybe around 3-400 bucks in the clutch pressure plate and the two bearings . Now as for brake parts i do not have a listing on them that i can find . Not saying that after market are not out there i just do not have a listing as i don't stay up on stuff like i use to .

Thanks for the parts information,ive been shopping around on line. Its seems the parts are not easy to get.
Maybe its not that big of a job, since i didnt get no replys on the clutch.
