856 platform on 806

will a platform from an 856 fit on an 806? Im putting a cab on the 806 and i need an IH platform. I found one for an 856 wondering if it will fit or if ill have to modify it.

It will fit but you will run into a problem with the clutch and brake pedals because of the height and shape and free travel on clutch.If you use the pedals off the 856 it will work.

You will have to do a little 'trimming'.But it will work.Do a nice job and no one will be the wiser...Post a pic,please

Yeah i bought a pretty nice hiniker cab and the guy had a platform for an 856 laying around so i got that too. He said if the platform works then come back and pay him, if it doesnt then just bring it back. What excatly will i have to trim? Just for the clutch and brake pedals?
Next comes the removal of the "ice cream box" cab platform with steps, so i can install the factory platform.
If anyone needs a platform for a factory "ice cream box" IH 806 cab i'll have one.
