Talked to a guy today that said he had a tractor on his place and it was there when he got the place. Said it is parked way out back and sits on steel wheels. He also said it has no seat on it and you stood up on it to drive it. Said it has a platform with a few pedals for the controls. So what might it be??? I may try to talk him out of it if I can get it for the right price

I do not even know where it is yet or if the guy will even sell it. All I know so far is that it has no seat has steel wheels and some sort of mover that is mounted up front with a very thick blade and was said to be able to cut down trees with it

pedals for steering?Im wondering if it may be a early cat without the tracks?some of the early ones just had a cusioned board seat.if that were the case and it were missing that may give the impression you stood up.who knows?might be a early horse drawn grader.would like to see it though sounds interesting.

The guy says it is a Farmall/IH and also says it is in fact a tractor and old as in around the time of the F series tractors if not before that

man its been years since i owned a farmall, the last one was a 36 model, but i seem to recall a neighbor haveing a couple that were chain steer that were mccormick.as i recall they had a seat that swung aside so you could stand.i could be wrong though.that was a long time ago for my poor old brain.
