Hey guys just kind of curious I guess but I was looking thru a local sale bill in which the guy had a lot if guns. Then I came across an old cub that will be selling. I don't know much about it other than what I can get from the picture but it has real nice tires great paint and also a small front mount blade. I assume it runs because there's no mention of it not running. It's an early cub, prior to the hundred series tractors.
I don't know I guess I'm kind of interested in the little guy I've never seen one in this part if the country before it would be unique that's for sure. I don't really need it but it would go nicely with my SMTA, H, and 400. So what do you guys think this is worth? I don't really need it but if it's a good deal I might just bring it home! Thanks for the info! DK

Bought my cub about 7 years ago has a belly mower ,$2500. They are still bringing around 1800 to 2500 for a good running tractor in Wisconsin and northern Illinois.

Watch out for broken castings. Especially the front bolster and the final drive housings. The ears on the engine block where the front bolster attaches are also a weak point and are sometimes broken. The radiator attaches to the front bolster with a flange and bolts that thread into tapped holes in the bolster. Look for leaks around that area. Cubs sell higher in some areas of the country because there are not so many of them in some areas, but remember they made over 200,000 of the things, so they are far from rare. The front mount blade is worth as much as $300 if in good condition. The tractor from $1000 to $2000 depending on the condition.

A brand-spankin'-new '47 Cub with hand lift was $535, according to what my Dad told me. So keep that in mind and act accordingly.

aybe you can get Mary McFly to pick one up and bring it to you.

And a non-runner in presentable condition will bring $800 and more.

For Haas, haven't seen you around for a while until recently. Hope you are well. You gave me some advice a year or so ago regarding Cub brakes. The drums had been machined and a sleeve put in, lots of junk. Your advice was right on in every area, so I just want to say thanks. If you don't mind me asking, what is your IH background because you seem to have been there and done that. Thanks again. Jon

Thanks for the info! Probly will go watch it sell and I'll let you guys know if I bring it home!
