I am looking for a new 8097D center steering bearing for a farmall H. Carter Gruenwald said these were no longer available. I really think I have seen them.

Any other ideas?

Kirk, I was thinking about that. I need to do same on MH 44, the
shafts are the same diameter. Would you try that with a drill, or
take to machine shop. I can turn bushings,

I took one to a local machine shop some years ago and they messed it up. Last one I did I drilled it out, little at a time and surprisingly it worked out. Another one I found a near new one at a salvage yard so that worked out well also. I have used copper water pipes in some places when I had problem finding bushings to fit. Don't remember if that was one of the spots or not but on these old tractors a lot of things need to be bushed, and built up etc.

Bore the housing and install the bushing for a center steering support on a 300 or 350 will work. But case ih has them priced ridicules now.
Piston pin bushing for A C175 engine works doing the same. May have to ream the ID just a tad. around $10.00 or less.
