MD starter

Is the starter from a MD a 2 hole or a 3 hole one==== will it fit a 1942 M???? We are putting a Sheppard Diesel in one and need more cranking power!!!!!!

3 hole mount, won't work on a 42 M unless the MD clutch housing is used. Since the MD starts on gas that starter may not have enough power anyway. Original 2 bolt nose cone gets weak with more power also. Go to the pulling forum and ask what starters they use and where to get it. They have some special high power starters. Kind of spendy.
