1086 turn signals

I can"t get my turn signals or 4 ways to work on my 1086. I replaced the turn signal switch and still no luck. I have 12 volts to the switch and the head lights work. Any ideas would be a great help.
Thanks Brett

You said you had power into new switch. Did you use a tester on the out side of switch? If you did and have no power it has to be in switch. New switches have been known to be deffective.

Do you have the 12 volts at switch when it is turned on, all hooked up. You could very well have a poor connection at fuse holder that will show 12 volts to switch until you try to draw current then it may drop off. It is a separate fuse, not on main light fuse.

The 4 position light switch activates the flasher unit for the four ways. The turn signal lever activates the turn signals through the flasher unit.

Check to see if you are getting power to the flasher unit (attached to the turn signal lever under the dash) when you turn the light switch to the 1st position.

Sounds to me like your flasher unit is bad to me.

Pete23 you were right. I cleaned off the fuses and the flashers worked. I thought they got power through the head light fuse. Thanks a million. I"m located in south eastern PA and the traffic is getting crazy. The more flashing lights on the tractor the better.
