49 h up for auction tomorrow, engine is loose, has been sitting in a shed for over 20 years, its all there. if it goes cheap enough, i may bring it home!!

Hard telling anymore with scrap prices sky rocketing. If there isn't any junkers at the sale, it should not bring to much. You'll have to scope the crowd out and see if you'll reconize any scrapers.
 
5-15 depending on where the location is oversize tire will hurt and you never know who is going to bid here 700 would stop it.
 
Is this like "The Price is Right"? Closest without going over? Where's Bob?
I'm goin with 995.
 
Scrappers aren't going to pay more than $300-400 for it unless they're total idiots. There's less than 2 tons of actual metal there, plus they have to haul it, then strip all the non-metal parts off it, and cut it up into scrap-friendly pieces, OR take a lower price for "dirty" scrap at the yard.

Of course there are idiots out there that will pay $600 for the tractor, sell it to the yard for $250 per ton, and think they're making a profit.

Scrappers or scrap yard owners no what their doing. If they didn't, they wouldn't be in the business. It comes down it, if you want to save vintage iron from the smelter your going to have to open your wallet.
