Took a day off work today to work on the c. Jan had a post about plastigage the other day. I could not get the camera up in the bottom of the case to take a good picture. Here is a picture out of one of my books with real life palstigage setting beside it. Jan has already told you how to use it.

When I did my SA went to NAPA to get some parts man looked at me like I was crazy. Another clerk got me what I wanted. I ask the first how long he had been there hes said 20 years. This in a NASCAR town.
 
How do you hold it in place? I used a dab of grease, but I don't know if that the correct way or not.

I have found it for $8 at CarQuest and $3 at NAPA.

That's what I am saying. I am not even sure if it was $3 at NAPA. More like 2 and change.
 
Not to beat this to death. I also got mine at Car Quest. It was $2.87 all said and done. You have to be careful as these come 4 to a package. If you get some young clerk that does not even know what it is, they will try to sell you the whole package instead of one stick. It also comes in 2 colors, green and red. Red is for different sizes and I have never used it. Just for what it is worth if they would ask what color.
