Cub 154 low boy

Hi everyone.

I have a cub 154 low boy with a bad pto clutch in it to run the mower deck. I was wondering if there was a way to add a hydralic motor to replace that clutch completely. Any thoughts and suggestions are appreiciated.

Thanks

Rebuild kits are available for the PTO clutch. Another option may be to run a straight shaft to the rear and install an electric PTO clutch/pulley. I don't believe the 154 hydraulic pump would operate a hydraulic motor.

I'm not sure what you mean by and over center pulley, but it has a shaft going from the engine to the back of the tractor, through the clutch and then to the drive pulley. I had put a different clutch in it over the summer and I am looking for something that is more reliable since the replacement didn't hold up.

Also there was a mention of using an electric clutch. How difficult would that be to convert my tractor to an electric clutch.

Nothing is set in stone, I though it would be something intersting to look into whil I'm doing some other work in the tractor.
