International 464 Gas

There's a 464 gas w/IH loader for sale locally. What can you tell me about em? Good utility tractor? Would be used on truck patch for plowing, cultivating, mowing, hauling wood and water. Want to know a little bit about what to look for before I go check it out. Thanks. Mark

I have a 454 gas and it is a nicely equiped older tractor(1973).Hi-lo tranny,live pto,wet disc brakes,hydro pwr steering,540/1000 rpm pto,rear remotes and differential lock.

Hi, cannot comment on gas engine as only familiar
with D-179 Diesel. The first thing to check is the
parking brake and foot brakes. If someone drove the
tractor with parking brake on the chewed up parking
brake band bits could be all through the hydraulic
system, however if it happen many years ago the bits
should all be filtered out by now.
