How to remove starting ratchet [hand crank]

Hello, I am trying to remove the cranking ratchet under an H tractor it seems to be frozen in place . I have tried soaking it with KB Blaster for a week, then hit on it with a block of wood and hammer quite extensively, also tried a 4 ton portapower with a sissors end on it, does not move, would any of you gentlemen have any other ideas, Thank for all your past help, and your great ideas. If you want to save the ratchet, you need to take the front bolster off and lay it down so you can heat the ratchet. Get the ratchet good and hot, and wait for it to cool. It will shrink enough so you can tap it out. If you just want it out of the way, leave the front bolster in place and blow the hooks off the ratchet flush with the bolster. You might be able to heat it with the bolster in place, but there's no way to hit it. Please do not use hydraulic force against the crankshaft.

They can be tough and if rusted solid, damn hard to do with the bolster in place. Might want to hire a kid to crawl under the tractor.

First step is to compress the spring with one or two tie wraps. Remove the wire retaining clip. Try to rotate the the tin sleeve (on the right in picture). May need heat. When it is free, remove it to expose the 1/2" diameter pin. Remove pin. Remove angled hand crank shaft by removing cotter pin.

If the heavy sleeve is rusted solid, try heat. Bear in mind that some wayward heat may affect radiator. This is a good reason to remove the bolster.

It's been awhile since I have done this job but I think I have got the sequence right. Good luck.

Ive been through this before,Leave it alone and use the starter,If you free the ratchet up Ill bet it still wont line up with the crankshaft becaues the motor mounts will probally be wore
