650 Injector seals

Iam having injectors rebuilt on my 650..my parts book is not the best..There is a seal between nozzle body and precombustion chamber? 251 O42 R4?and that is the same one that is used between head and pre combustion chamber?? Is it steel lead or other? thanks in advance..

Yes, same gasket above and below precup.

Mine have all been silver. Plowhand, mine have all come from my injector rebuilder. IH does have them and I bought some for the MD after I had the head done.

Thanks Gents...have any of you guys reused existing?I'm missing 2...buy all new 8..opinions?

replace them, they are around $3-4 a each. Make sure you get the correct ones two diffrent ones were used. (early vs. late)

I wouldn't pull the precups to and replace the ones below them. MAYBE if the head was off. Pulling them out is a good way to break one. I would CERTAINLY replace the ones between the injectors and precups.

the only time you can reuse those copper gskts is if you anneil them.
otherwise they will not seal properly and you will get carbon up in there and thats why you cant get them out.
