Any day is a good day when you look in the rearview mirror and this is what you see! I picked up this Super MTA from a guy I know a few miles down the road. Looking forward to another great project! It does run but needs a complete tune up including a carb cleaning and rebuild, and there is a steering issue. When turned to far to the right everything binds up. hopefully its no big deal. Otherwise its very straight and all functions including the TA and the fast hitch work as they should.
I thought the pics would turn out a little better than they did but i guess it will have to do!

The grill has been replaced with a late SM part. If it can't be traded for the right one, it can be fixed with a hole saw. I wouldn't be surprised if your grill is more valuable than a SMTA grill.

Nice touch with the 450-560 Fast Hitch and the required Christmas Tree valve. All SMTAs should be set up that way. Just my opinion.

Thanks guys. I do like the fast hitch. I have a 400 without the fast hitch and this makes the tractor much more versatile.
As far as restoring it goes I'm probably going to re wire, tune up, and paint the tractor. I don't want it to be a show piece, but I do want it to look nice. I think I will enjoy using it much more than having it sit in a corner because it's too nice to use.
I guess I didn't notice the holes not being in the grille! The tool box on the light bar is even in good shape. Lid opens and closes like it should. I was a bit surprised that the tractor didn't have power steering.
