IH Therometer

Probably. Collectible items such as that are very difficult to place a value on. They are worth exactly what someone is willing to pay.

Rusty is right on. 2 years ago, I watched an IHC cookie cutter, YES cookie cutter get bid up to $735.00 Go figure. I quit bidding at $75, almost 1/10th what it went for.

Remember 1 thing on collectables. The prices are ALL over the board. If you find someone looking for exactly what you have, price goes up. If 2 or more want it, and you have it on auction (eBay or otherwise), it no longer is "what is it worth", it becomes an emotional contest between the bidders. Rational thought is "out the window"

So, bottom line, without seeing it, would be hard to guess, but if in good or better condition, and original, that prices seems to be right in line with what I have seen other collectable items go for.

I recently got one like you are describing for $160 in excellent clean, sharp and bright condition. I was very happy with my find, Hal.

I also forgot that I have a IHC thermometer that is an advertisement for a dealership.

Absolute stroke of fate / luck / dumb chance.

Name of the dealership?

Fleming Truck and Equipment.

Paid $45 + shipping on epay. That was 4 years ago. I had a $300 bid on it only because of the name, not because of what it was worth.
