Been trying to buy this "ol M for the last 20 years. Finally got it bought!! The man said it was parked at the end of the field because the transmission locked up. Went over Monday, pulled the gear shift lever out, shifted it into neutral, jacked it up. The rear wheels wouldn"t turn, ice in the rear end. Only about 20 miles away. Went over with loader tractor, bumped the rear wheels, she broke loose. Picked the front end up with the 3 point and headed for home. Not sure what to do with it now. Motor is stuck, but cylinders are nice and clean. Got it soaking now, with the head off. Has the 4 inch dome top pistons. Time will tell.

Looks like it is all there.

You gonna pull the trans cover off and look inside it ???????????

Make this one run !!!!!!!!

yep its all there. Took the belt pulley drive off and looked at the gears they all look good to me.The old guy new enough to tuck a piece of rubber mud flap up under the hood so no water got in the engine.

Well,I dont know you at all.(Just from this forum only.)

But I think I know you enough to say you will not be sending this to the "scrap yard"???? :)

We wanna see photos of it running!

Was a nice rainy day. But any day from work is a sunny day to me.Would liked to have taken the camera along but was afraid might get ruined in the rain. There is a organic grain farmer near there that has all his john john john just can not say that word. all lined up by the barn be a neat pic. and the one road i came across has no winter plowing so it was a sheet of ice and drops off into the river on the one side but sure was a nice ride.

Yea got a real soft spot for m"s It is in front of the mta project. Waiting for better weather so i can sand blast and paint the mta .So until then i will play with the m

Knowing how tough those Ms were, I would have thought that the M was pushing the other tractor! LOL Good luck, it looks like a good solid project.

How torqued was the guy when you had the tractor rolling again with a few minutes worth of work?

I just can't fathom having a tractor break down, and just leaving it where it stopped like that... I'd have to at least TRY to fix it.

No kidding.

I had tried to tell him for years what was wrong with it but he would not listen. He is one of them guys you just can not help he would get mad and start yelling if you tried to help him. Yea he acted mad when i poped it out gear. He just walked away.
