hey guys droped belley pump took off cover removed nut put in new seal I noticed a crack about 3to 4 inches long the houseing the part where the gears are stored its close to a bolt dont no if someone tightend it to much or if water had got in there and froze it up Ive only had tractor for a couple months dont no any history on it should i look for another pump or see what happens thanks for all the help

I think I remember that you have an H and if that is so I have a couple of pumps here if you need a pump or parts. I do not know why it would crack, I am not able to picture how it looks in there as it has been too long since I had one apart.

Two ways I have seen them crack. One if cracked in the actual housing containing the gears is from excessive pressure such as shimming the relief valve too high. Other is, if reservoir cracked, filling too full with a load or implement raised and then dropping it fast, poof.
