For some time there has been a noise in the cyl head area that was hard to pin down. Really sounded like a wrist pin by my limited knowledge. I decided to keep running it till it either got better or worse. It finally showed up as a blown exhaust gasket. The manifold was eroded some so I put two new gaskets in and lets hope. It s nice and quite now.

When I was turning wrenches (automotive repair) we had some customers who were very short of money. When they had similar problems we would use the epoxy that comes with the muffler repair kits. Fill in the low spot, let it get hard, file flat and put it back on with a new gasket. Seemed to work very well, never had one come back.
