Farmall H Governor

have you had bad dealings with them? care to share?

I tried to get them to rebuild a MS carb for me and they weren't interested. guess business is good when you can turn away customers right?

Yea, back when I had my John deere 60 it had a "new" Denny's carb on it. Could NEVER get it to run right. I eventually sent it to popin johns and he found so much crud in the new carb it was disgusting. I had completely cleaned the fuel system on the 60 before I put the carb on, Even put in one of those in line fuel filters.

I will never spend another dollar at that "shop"

I had an M carb sent to me that had been previously rebuilt by Denny's. The tractor never did run like it should, and when I opened up the carb, it was quite obvious why it wouldn't run. Denny's had attempted to bore out the throat, but instead just trashed an otherwise good, useable carburetor. Denny's sent it out anyhow.

Well, if you get the parts, you can rebuild the governor yourself. I bought all the wearing parts for mine and new gaskets. Get the exploded diagram from a parts book and work methodically. Replace weights in pairs so that they balance and all should be fine.
