Dear lads
I got an international 434 that when you start it the three point hitch goes all the way up no madder where the lever is and if you move the lever to up the pump kicks in and stays on Also when you turn the tractor off the 3ph works as it should
What is wrong? Thanks for now matt

The hydraulic unit is almost identical to the one on the 364 which we have.

We have had the same problem. You may want to take off the cover on the top of the unit and look inside and verify the safety chain is not broken or the chain is intact and the end of the spool valve that it attaches to is broken off.

Under the caseih.com part site for a 434 figure 5-13 item 13 is the chain in question.

To do most any repairs you are going to have remove the unit from the tractor and access it for the bottom. We used a engine hoist to lift it.

My best advise is to spend the money and get a Blue Ribbon service manual. With the manual,a hoist and some patience you can fix it. This site is a wonderful source of information...

Good luck...
We had a real problems getting the house unit to free up from the two locating pins on the frame.

Also when you put the access plate back on the bottom of the hydraulic unit please make sure it is well sealed. If not it will leak fluid from around the cover into the transmission housing and you will get to take it off a second time.

You can check the chain from the top access cover. You may have to drain the fluid to see the chain. The chain should be enclosed in a couple pieces of plastic tubing to prevent kinking.

Be careful as thats one heavy block of cast iron
