Farmall H Tire Size

I found two brand new 11.2x38 tires really cheap. But my other H has 12.4x38. What do you guys think?? Are they too small??

Do it. Unless they are dramatically old and brittle they will be fine. If traction is in doubt, use some iron weights and or beet juice, and be happy. Jim

Might want to measure the width of the rims. Most Hs have 10" wide rims, and if that's what yours is, the 11.2 tires will be O.K. If the rims are 11" wide, the 11.2s are going to be a bit small, but if the price is right, and depending on how the tractor will be used, they'll still work.

My Hs all have the 10" wide rims, with 12.4 tires.

Thanks, I think I will buy them. What size front tires should I run with the 11.2x38 to make it set level ?

My uncle's '41 H came new with 10-38's (11.2-38) while the '50 he traded the old '41 in on came with 11-38's (12.4-38's). I'm a young 77 so I remember pretty good. The '41 got 11-38's (The famous Montgomery-Wards that were so popular then-1947)when the originals wore out. Both tractors had 5.50-16 front tires, there isn't anything smaller on 16 inch rims in tractor front tires.
