650 Diesel carb,,

The rich-lean adjustment on carb has no effect on tractor running rich on gas.Should I loosen stop lever and turn in? any help would be great..

how rich? they do run rich on gas after startup. after about 1 min. they start to lean out and increase rpm a bit. in the open position its supposed to provide more fuel for cold weather starting. dont hurt to try that and see how it runs.

turn it all the way in until needle is lightly seated, or just off it's seat. it's about the only position it will run properly. that adjustment needle was a gimmick that didn't really work.

I was thinking it was along the same line as a Brigss engine turn all the way in and 1 1/4 turns out,unsure though..thanks..
