May have stumbled onto a single front wheel on an F-12

I am in no $$$ shape to buy it or ship it after buying the KB, so I thought I would share it with you guys. Hard to tell in the pics, but looks like a single front yoke to me. It is mis-listed as an F-20

Tom is this something that is considered a little rare? I know where one is that I've thought would look unique on a F-12 but since I'm keeping the wide front on mine I haven't bought it.

There is a 12 or 14 right up the road from me for sale. I think he gave 1200. for it but it didn t run then. Single steel on the front.

Tom not sure what part of Pa your from but im 40 miles north of Harrisburg. My f-12 has a single front wheel and im going to be putting a wide front on it. It's not a project i'm rushing but when its done i may get rid of my single front wheel and yoke. Without going to look i think its a 10" f&h wheel. It also has the f&h round spokes and weights on the rear, but i plan on keeping them

Here in central iowa a single front for a f-12 must be fairly common as i have seen several. Jim

Single Front wheels are very common on 1935 and earlier F-12s. I have 1933 wauk, (2) 1933 f12, a 1934 f12, a 1936 f12 and all of them have single fronts. My 1936, 1937, 1938, and 1939 f12 & f14s have double front. If you ever worked with the single fronts, they are bearly good enough to cultivate with as when you turn the wheel, they have a tendency to "slide" accross the gound where as the double v fronts grab better.

Hobert, I am near Butler, about 20 miles north of Pittsburgh.

I wouldn't call these rare, but I also would say they are not common, at least here in western PA. Just like the dual H in another post, single front ends are not common around here.

It has a light on it.If it has electic start i think its very rare,i cant tell by the pics,the light could just run off the mag as well.Its worth a check.
