Red light next to the key on a 966

I replaced a burnt out bulb on the red light next to the key, and when I turn the key on the light is ON steady. After starting the tractor the light stays ON steady all the time. I had asked earlier what this light means. I know it has to do with low hydraulic pressure. Is there a sending unit that might be bad for this light. If so where would I look for it. I dont believe the tractor has low hydraulic pressure, and I am not sure why this light stays ON all the time???

Sending unit is right on back side of mcv which is on left side of tractor on clutch housing. Just unhook the wire, if lamp goes out you know wire from lamp to sender is ok. If lamp stays lit you have a ground on wire between lamp and sender. After that it could be sender or actual low pressure. It would need to be checked with qauge. It is trans lube pressure and normally about 18 to 20 psi. It is very possible for all hydraulics to work and still have no or low lube pressure and that is not good.

It goes to the red lamp. It is the grounding wire for the lamp to turn lamp on and the sending unit is nothing more or less than an on off switch which is closed to ground when less than 4 psi and opens with pressure above that to turn lamp off. You will also notice, the dump valve is hooked to the clutch pedal and dumps ta pressure when ever you press clutch in and this in turn dumps all lube pressure so light should come on with clutch depressed. If your lamp is on and the wire is cut, that wire is grounded between that point and the lamp.
