Need a Farmall Super A Moved........

Need a Farmall Super A tractor with Cultivators moved from the Birmingham, Alabama area to the Northfield, Minnesota area or within a reasonable pick up distance. Let me know what you will charge and when you can pick up and deliver. As always, I need the best rate possible.

The tractor has been restored and is in working condition. The cultivators are attached to the tractor, and the tractor has rear wheel weights. It can be pulled with a 1/2 ton truck and a 12 to 14 foot tandem axle trailer (what I recommend) minimum. Pictures are attached as a reference.

You may contact me at [email protected] also.

if it was mine i would i would load it in the back of a 3/4 ton and be off. have to remove the cultivators though.

You could try to find a trucker thats deadheadeing from Alabama to Minn. with a flat bed or a possum belly trailer. They will some times haul cheap because they like to get a back haul to help with fuel cost.

That is a really good idea; but how in the world would I find something out like that!?

I tell ya, if it were me that was buying it, I'd first look for something closer then if not then I'd just go get it myself. Fuel-wise (in a 1/2 ton pickup), you're only looking at about $650-$700 according to www.gasbuddy.com's trip cost calculator. I'm just trying to sell the tractor, and someone in Minnesota is intrested. Go Figure! haha.

Try Oleston Bros Trucking in Clinton/Avalon, WI They do a lot of tractor work. There are websites that you can post the load or look for space on a load.

Go to your local truck stop and ask around,My son is a trucker and he said that the brokers are always looking to fill a load and will work with you.

Be VERY careful about paying anything up front.

There are a LOT of scammers out there in the hauling world.
They'll claim you need to send them money to hold a spot on their truck while they get enough people to build a full load - or something to that effect.

Happened to a friend of mine - don't remember the exact details, but I know he got ripped off pretty hard, and apparently it's a common scam.

might want to google it a bit before doing anything.

That sounds like a GREAT idea about going over to the local truckstop where they congregate. We have 3 Major Truckstops within a 5 mile radius from our house, with 1 of them being only 2 miles away.

Who would I talk to? People in the truckstop or the truckers out back? How would I know which ones to approach to do something like that?

I also had an expierence once last year about hauling a Farmall Cub Tractor on a standard semi truck flatbed trailer the buyer lined up. The trailer is so high off the ground, there is really no way of driving it on the trailer. We had to take and lift it onto the trailer with our front end loader. Don't want to have to do that again!

Most truckstops have a bulletin board where you can post what you need. Usually located somewhere that would be seen mostly by just the truckers.

Just take the tractor to a place that has a loading ramp and it is a done deal. Most implement dealers have a nice ramp for loading tractors on a flatbed.

Make sure you make the drop point ahead of time and stick to repuable cos. If you feel uneasy just make it pod. Also if you have a vehicle to pull it uhaul rents trailers one way and they are cheep.o not know your time frame or capabilities but looks like youv'e been given a lot of options.
