Farmall Super C rad run over when cool

I have a Farmall Super C when I start and run in or out shed without letting it warm enough to open thermostat will run antifreeze out the rad overflow onto floor or ground probably only a couple tablespoons or so but like oil with spread always looks worse. Might I have the thermostat in the wrong way as was none when I rebuilt engine to go by. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

IMHO you have simply overfilled the radiator and it's seeking its own level, if it's only a tiny bit of coolant.

You need to have airspace for the water to expand. If you fill it right to the brim, and the engine warms up even a little, the water will expand and it HAS to go somewhere.

If the water was coming out continuously I would suspect maybe a compression leak into the water jacket, but just a little blurp one time is nothing to be concerned about IMHO.
