706 gas emblems

I just bought a 706 gas and i"m trying to fix it up a bit not like a show tractor but just a good looking tractor to take to the field. My question is when i bought it, it had one gold 706 emblem and one silver one. I have never seen a 706 with gold emblems but when i went to the CaseIH dealer to order a new emblem it was shipped in as a gold decal. Should i be putting gold ones back on it or just stick to the run of the mill silver ones. How do i find out what it came with from the factory. And also how do i find out if it has the M&W pistons in it with out tearing it down it has a decal saying it has them in it but its just a sticker nothing else. Thanks for the help

All 706 and 806 tractors were delivered with gold anodized emblems. The anodized coating faded quickly to silver. If you have one gold one, then one of them is new old stock from a recent purchase. Those are very hard to find, not dealer stock, have been discontinued for 30 years. I have a few in stock at this time in both gas and diesel. Hit me back if you are interested in a possible source.
