What is the horsepower of a 1974 966. Does it have the same engine as a 1066 minus the turbo??What is the hp of a 1066 with a turbo?

966 rated at 100.8 , 1066 at 125.68.

external_link is a great resource for this kind of information. According to the engine specs listed, both tractors you mention are 414 cid but it is possible that there are differences with the cooling and lubrication systems to handle the turbo on the 1066.

Rich,the early 1066 were rated at 116hp(the same as the 1256)

PTO = 100.8 hp Rated engine speed
PTO = 101.52 hp at PTO 1000rpm
Drawbar = 88.94 hp with ballast 11th gear (2 Hi TA)
