I made this one.

Does someone still make an aftermarket brake lock for Farmall H or M. We had one years agoon both, so you wouldn"t need to bend so low to set the brakes. I remember it fastened to the light bar above the brakes, and worked real well.

So how come my reply with a picture ended up being the first in the thread and I didn't even start the thread?

I have seen it a handful of times in the last week. Something to do with the reply feature in the modern view? Something with where you respond in original view?

(quoted from post at 12:27:39 12/27/11) Were these options on tractors if, not why are most of them missing?

They were not an option on letter series tractors.

Farmers were shorter, skinnier, and more flexible back then I guess.

The earliest factory brake lock I've seen is on the 400.

I don't know - I'm pretty thin and flexible, and I've even got extra long monkey arms - I still find it a challenge to lift that )#($*& thing while putting hard pressure on the brakes on an M.

But no need to get fancy. A simple long rod with a hook works wonders. Reach down with it and yank it up. You can epoxy a magnet to it to stow it.
