How do I time the two small gears for the rotor. Once I have my timing marks set and #1 on compression stroke then what do I do to get the rotor set to the cap?

Just movethe gear till the rotor is lined up with the cap tower it needs to be rite on not off a tooth or so. Next time dont remove those three screws but take the whole end off to get at the points that way you wont lose the timing.

The small gear has a tooth that is notched on the outer end. Align that notch with the letter "R" molded in the outer end of the rotor drive gear. Add a bit of white Lithium grease to the gears and shafts and you will be good for a long time.

the Super W6 should have a distributer, as the mag is not actually correct for it.but it still works.

I'm sure a very small precentage were sold, probably mostly for export, but the magneto was available from the factory through the 450/650 series. Probably about the same numbers sold as the distilate option on these later model tractors. IHC kept many old fashioned options on many tractors for many years, for example steel wheels on the 706 and 806 tractors.
