# 37 disc bearings

I have an early #37 10 foot tandem disc that had the front gang hangers and bearings changed to the later sealed bearings. IHC parts were used but are no longer available. If I go to Agri Supply for new blades, bearings, etc. for the back, what bearings and spools do I need? This disc is 7" spacing, but is the bolt 1" square? I am assuming I can rework the the hangers to take the newer bearing flanges? Suggestions & ideas please? Thanks, Gene

Didi you check The Big Bearing store???

That is where I am going to get mine.It will be next year before I can repair mine

Are your "hangers" on the rear FULL enclosed and use ALL 4 bolts to hold the bearings in??? I believe you can cut the bottom part off and just use the 3 remaining bolts??/ Hopefully someone else on here will help clarify this???

Mike is right torch off the bottom part and use 3 bolts a ih 370 or 480 disk use the same bearing as the 37.Ih should have the other stuff you need.

I know this has been discussed a while back but I have a #37 disc as well. Most of the bearings are shot and one gang locked up on me last fall. Am I better off converting this to the sealed type bearing, if possible, and what other parts do I need to adapt to this 14" disc? I found after market "spool" type bearings from Agrisupply.com and replacing 12 halves here plus the spools are going to add up. Also, as best as I can measure, it looks like a 1-1/8" square shaft on the disc. These aftermarket spools have a 1" square so I think I"m screwed here anyhow.
