Sediment Bowl Gasket Question

I need to dump the sediment out of the sediment bowls on the Cub and Super C. The Cub has a short sediment bowl and the Super C has a tall bowl. I want to buy new gaskets before I pull the bowls off. What size (diameter) gaskets do I need to buy? I see 2-inch O.D. ones on Ebay and they say they are for the short bowls, see link below. Is this correct?

Tkae your bowls along and replace with the rubber gaskets from NAPA. Check the sediment fixture to make sure it isnt warped from overtightening as lots of them are and new gaskets just wont seal very good, Remove the old gasket then place the glass into the position and if it rocks back and forth its warped and best to replace the whole assy.

Probably. Do you have a tape measure? Listing model numbers is not much good if the strainer assy has been changed. Generally the taller bowls use a slightly bigger gasket

The short bowl and long bowl gaskets are slightly different. I have never measured the difference, but I know a long bowl gasket won't fit a short bowl because it is too large OD. And the short gasket won't seal the long bowl.

I buy my sediment bowl gaskets at O'Reilly's auto parts and have found so far that the one size fits all the sediment bowl assembly's I have in all my tractors other then the ford 841 I have

Guess I should have put my shoes on it is only 40 out and I had to walk to my shop to get the package so I could give you the number LOL 398 is the number on the package and it is a cork type gasket called a fuel strainer gasket
