Sure made the neighbors talk!

I was able to finish my fall plowing yesterday. I had Dad's 720 4-18 plow behind the 1456 with a full rack of weights and the 560 with duals and full rack of weights in front of the 14 with a tow-rope serving as my front wheel assist. It was fun seeing both tractors roll out the black smoke. I wish I could have taken a picture but did not have a camera with me. You should have seen all the vehicles go by, stop, turn around and watch. I'm sure they were shaking their heads but we were sure having fun! Conditions were not the best but it is done. As I have heard from several old timers: A bad job of plowing in the fall is still better than a perfect job of plowing in the spring. Merry Christmas!

He's about an hour west of Waterloo, IA.

I can't believe the 1456 couldn't do it alone. I'm guessing if the top would have froze it would have been a lot better than the conditions we had to deal with yesterday. We soil sampled around here and it was a mess.

There was two inches of frost on top with muddy goo. I just could
not get enough traction to pull the plow as the right tire would just
spin. If I had a tractor with dif lock and front wheel assist I could
have done it alone.

Whats the progress with the old girl?

I'll pop up a thread. I just told you in your other thread I bought a second parts engine. This one spun a bearing so I still haven't scavanged a set of decent bearings. It is still a great find. Be sure to let me know if you need parts for that crawler. I have TONS of duplicate engine parts including another late model head.
